Handle

This is where the user selects the type of handles required. These can differ between double panels and the interior (swing side) and the exterior sides of the door.

Creating New Handles

Refer to the support document Creating New Handles

Handle Tab Definitions

The following describes parameter setting and values that can be set for the door within the Door Factory.

All the Type and Instance parameters can be changed in Revit after the door has been created.

All parameters are classed as Family Wide Parameters, Type Parameters or Instance Parameters

.

Handle Height

Family wide parameter.
Measured off the base of the door (i.e. normally the floor below, not the base of the panel) to the (top) fixing point of the handle.

Handle Offset

Family wide parameter.
Measured from the side of the panel to the side fixing point of the handle.

Handle Type

Type Parameter.
Specification item for scheduling. Fill in the “Description” Parameter in the handle family and it will prepopulate the item within the Door Factory.
